Dr. Chandra Carr

On June 17, 2016, Miller-Carr Human Services was born and named Chandra Miller-Carr, PhD, MSW its new Chief Executive Officer to lead efforts that grow and support children and families within the community.

Dr. Carr created Miller-Carr Human Services after serving as the CEO for The Redeemed Counseling and Social Services for 9 years. While there, she addressed the mental, behavioral, social, and economic needs of individuals in Wayne and Oakland Counties. Dr. Carr has worked for a variety of nonprofit organizations and educational intuitions focused on the welfare of children and families since 2004. Her gift is to work with special populations of adolescent youth, specifically girls. Dr. Carr has also been an adjunct faculty member at two colleges teaching Psychology, Sociology, and Human Relationship classes.

Dr. Carr has a Bachelor degree from Michigan State University in Family Community Service, a Master's degree from The University of Michigan in Social Work with concentrations in interpersonal practice/children and youth, and a PhD in Counseling from Capella University.

 

 

Donyetta White

Donyetta White is the CEO of Learning Links Academy. She attended Clark Atlanta University, where she earned a B.S. Degree.

Donyetta has met the needs of children and families in the Metro Detroit area for over 15 years. Learning Links Academy has two locations, the first location was opened 2001 in Detroit, MI., and the second location in Southfield MI, which opened in 2014. She has devoted her career to creating the best possible learning environment for early childhood students.

Donyetta is also a mentor to new professionals of early childhood education. She is an advocate for the children and families she serves. She has with various community leaders, state and federal agencies to promote the need of early childhood education. Donyetta has created positive learning environment that continues to improve the lives of the children and families in the community.


Khristi Miller

Khristi, a Detroit native acquired both her Bachelors of Applied Arts in Apparel Merchandising and Design (2003) and her Masters of Science in Human Resource Administration (2014) from Central Michigan University. Her professional background includes retail management at JC Penney and Target Corporation both beginning the foundation on Best Practices in superior customer service. With a passion for assisting others to pursue their career goals, Khristi shifted gears to the education sector as a Career Service Representative for Everest Institute, and an Assistant Director of Admissions at Brown-Mackie College in Cincinnati, OH.

In 2009, Khristi had the opportunity to come back to her hometown to work with an organization that transforms the lives thousands of people, many who she’d grown up with.  Focus: HOPE, where she would spend the next eight years, utilized her skills as an Admissions Representative before transitioning to the Volunteers and Community Outreach Department as a Volunteer Coordinator.  After working with over 10,000 volunteers and organizing hundreds of volunteer opportunities, in December 2016 she was promoted to the Manager of Volunteers and Community Outreach team. Additionally, she has been nominated for three Special Effort and Achievement Awards, and continues her work with people from all over the world.

A committed member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., the Southeast Michigan Volunteer Coordinator’s Network, and Executive Board member of Miller-Carr Human Services her community efforts extend to the lives of women, children, and families.

Khristi’s totem is a lighthouse. They endure the elements, they stand strong and erect, but above all, they are the light that guides people to safety. Khristi is flexible, willing to go the extra mile, and treat others with the human respect everyone deserves.

Rachele Rush, MBA

Rachele Rush is a Financial Center Manager for Fifth Third Bank responsible for directing and administering the activities within the financial center, increasing the level of service provided to customers, and promoting growth through development of deposits and loans with new and existing relationships.

Rachele’s educational background includes a Masters of Business Administration from Wayne State University as well as a Bachelors of Science in Merchandising Management from Michigan State University.

Christopher Plummer received his education at St. Cecilia, Detroit Public Schools, and South Redford Schools where he excels in his studies.  Christopher is currently in the 9th grade and attends Thurston High School located in Redford, MI.   

Christopher has received many scholastic rewards as well as rewards for sports.  Some awards Christopher has received are: National Junior Honor Society, President’s List for Academics, and Most Hardworking Player.

He inspires to be a mechanical engineer for cars when he gets older.
